Random post

I usually use this blog to post my art work and the pictures that I take, but for some reason I felt that I had to type something down to vent out all my emotional turmoil.
I wonder who all have gone though this kind of an emotion or emotions where you think things are going in the right direction but you feel scared to actually jump ahead in that situation to face it. You know the "get out of your comfort zone" thing. Starting tomorrow I'll be travelling to a completely new city for my new job. So there is one part of me that's really happy, cause well I finally have a job. But on the other hand I feel really low thinking about all the things that I'll have to leave behind. Its not like I have never moved before or never stayed alone away from home, but for some weird reason I feel really really sad. Like I am going away forever never to come back. Maybe its just my reaction to finally be out of my comfort zone.
Why I am typing all this here, well it just seemed like the right thing to do at the moment. I don't regret it at the moment. In fact I feel a little bit better now.

Anyway, If anyone ever reads this, please do share your experience when you moved to another city far far away from home and loved ones. How did you feel?

Kani chan and Me!!

I drew this long time ago just few days before my birthday but couldn't post it here at that time. So once again my birthday is just weeks away so what better time to post it now!
The red haired one is my OC Kani-chan based on the zodiac cancer,  while the other one is me!

My OCs!! (>w<)

Hi... to..hmm..the people who are reading this post!! :P
Well today i thought about talking about my OCs!! :) Few of my chibi OCs:

I made them last year. I think it was about a year ago or maybe 11 months ago. The only characters that I managed to name are on the second image, the one with the black hair is Iris and the other one is Lily. As far as i remember I didnt think too much before I sketched them, Lily and Iris were the first ones that I drew out of all the other characters. They were originally doodles.. I remember how bored I was in my hostel room, and the only thing I could remember was trying to vent out all the boredom by sketching. So instead of sketching i started doodling..and ended up with with all these OCs. 

Hmm..I still havnt named the other characters.. so please please help me out with the names. >w<

Also, I was thinking that I ll start a 4-5 panel comic using these characters....I mean something like a gag comic or maybe similar...colored or not..will decide that later.. :P

Progress or just a fluke

It was not long after the few wallpapers that I had designed that I started designing wallpapers on a regular basis. Though most of them were as bad as the first ones( as I am not a professional). One fine day..i guess it was in June 2010, i sat down with my laptop doodling on photoshop. Still disappointed at the fact that I couldn't come up with something constructive and something more like "abstract" I just started smudging my doodles here and there. As far as I remember i had used almost every tool in order to destroy the useless doodle I had made. But once I finished tampering it I got an image, something similar to this. So not knowing what I was doing I continued my "destruction" procedure. After 20 long minutes of tampering (this time sensible) I ended up with the design in the actual image. The colors that I had planned at that moment was blue, more of a deep blue to give it a little shady and night-ish look. After I played with the colors and the lighting effects it ended up like this. At first I liked it, but I didn't know whether other people would also have the same opinion or not. So I shared it with few of my friends, and the funny part was, they liked it!! When they asked me how I made it, and what I was thinking while I was making it..well I had no answer for that. Since this was like a week after I got the hang of making abstract wallpapers, so I don't know whether this was my progress or was it just a fluke. Well progress or fluke it sure was an awesome one.
